Calibration method of water meter.
The calibration of water meter includes the requirement that the reading accuracy of water meter or its individual parts meet the corresponding standards, rules and instructions. The recalibration of the instrument is carried out in the manufacturer by adjusting individual units of the water meter mechanism. The adjustment of instruments, in the process of their installation and use, should be carried out by the technicians from the water plant or the office specially managing the adjustment. Determining the main specifications (flow coefficient, transition coefficient, pipe coefficient, etc.) of the water meter by test is called the calibration of the water meter or its parts.
In addition, in order to check the accuracy of the reading of the water meter, after it is made and adjusted, or during the operation of the water meter (after a certain period of time), the water meter or its individual parts must be checked.
The inspection of water meter or its individual parts includes the meaning of comparing the readings of water meter or its parts with those of accurate (standard) instruments.
