The Water Affairs Bureau and the Municipal Water Group officially established a working group to care for and protect the elderly. At the same time, government service data management bureau, District Civil Affairs Bureau, sub district office and other relevant staff joined in to establish a wechat working group for smart guarding the elderly living alone, and conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the pilot scope, workflow, early warning rules, software and hardware docking, data sharing methods, etc.

Through multi-directional and multi frequency negotiation and communication, the water group built a special platform function to connect with the government's intelligent platform "event connect", realize data connection, and finally realize the push of early warning services.

The staff successively went deep into the streets to carry out research on the home-based care of the elderly living alone, focusing on the problems of the elderly, such as sudden fainting and slipping. Based on the water consumption law of the elderly living alone, the situation that the water consumption in 12 hours is less than 2 liters or more than 500 liters is judged as abnormal, and an early warning is triggered.

After the water volume warning is issued, the warning information will be distributed to the corresponding community at the first time through the "eventpass" handheld platform, and transferred to the responsible civil affairs specialist or grid member. It supports checking the situation of the elderly living alone through telephone contact, door-to-door verification, etc., and timely dealing with the warning situation. The disposal results will be fed back through the handheld platform to build a "full closed loop" for the disposal of warning information.

The "smart water monitoring" project to protect the elderly living alone has been piloted in various water bureaus. The staff handed out the notice door-to-door through situation mapping and communication in advance to explain in detail the service content of "smart water meter" to protect the elderly living alone.
